Russian President Vladimir Putin talks to journalists following his visit to Tajikistan. Izvestia is broadcasting the event on Friday, October 10.

In Dushanbe, the President held talks with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev, and also took part in the Russia—Central Asia summit and the meeting of leaders of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries.

The CIS Council of Heads of State signed a decision on the establishment of the CIS+ format and granting the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) observer status in the Commonwealth.
