This was announced on October 10 during a press conference on "Innovations in modern surgery" at the Izvestia Medical Center by Amiran Revishvili, Chief Surgeon of the Russian Ministry of Health, Director General of the Vishnevsky National Research Medical Center of Surgery of the Russian Ministry of Health, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Earlier, on October 9, Sechenov University developed a diagnostic method for congenital aniridia, a rare genetic disease. For example, children undergo ultrasound examinations of the kidneys, brain and thyroid gland, as well as consultations with other specialists. This allows doctors to predict the course of the disease and the risks of complications.
