One person was killed and two injured in an accident on the 851st km of the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk–Okha highway. This was announced on October 9 by the State Traffic Inspectorate for the Sakhalin region.
"As a result of the accident, the driver and the 36-year-old passenger of the Mitsubishi RVR car were injured, the second 36—year-old passenger died at the scene," the Telegram channel said.
The incident occurred at 02:30 (local time, 18:30 on October 9, Moscow time). The driver of the passenger car lost control and drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a KamAZ car driven by a 30-year-old driver moving in the opposite direction. It is specified that the investigators are conducting a check on the incident.
Earlier, on October 9, an ambulance overturned in Kamchatka, two paramedics were injured in an accident. The ambulance, which was moving with a special signal and flashing lights, was not missed by the driver, after which a collision of vehicles occurred.
