YouTube announced the launch of a second chance program for bloggers

The Second Chance program has been launched on the YouTube platform by allowing blocked bloggers to return to their activities on the video hosting site. This was announced on October 9 on the website of the platform's press service.

"We know that many authors whose accounts have been fired deserve a second chance. YouTube has evolved and changed over the past 20 years, and we've also had second chances to build relationships with our community. Our goal is to provide this opportunity to authors who are eligible to apply," the publication says.

According to the press service, this program applies to those users who have already tried all other ways to appeal the blocking. To unlock the account, the specialists will individually review all applications, taking into account the nature of previous violations.

In addition, those bloggers whose channels have been blocked on platforms for copyright violations will not be able to launch a new channel and enable the monetization feature. A notification about the availability of the new program will appear on YouTube Studio in the coming months.

Pavel Durov, co-founder of the Telegram messenger, announced on September 30 that the platform daily blocks about 100 channels related to the propaganda of terrorism and ill-treatment of people. According to the entrepreneur, if we take into account all types of deleted content — accounts, groups, channels and publications, then almost 1 million pieces of information disappear from the platform every week.
