In the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, an accountant of the construction department was suspected of fraud. The investigation believes that she stole 2 million rubles aimed at paying salaries, the press service of the District Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on Thursday, October 9.

According to police, the accountant stole funds intended to pay salaries to employees of the institution. She entered deliberately false information into the payment and accounting documents.

According to preliminary estimates, the damage exceeded 2 million rubles. A criminal case has been opened under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Fraud committed on an especially large scale."

The issue of choosing a preventive measure for the woman is now being resolved. The investigation is also looking for other possible participants in the crime and is working to determine the exact amount of damage.
