Russians with a driver's license can easily create a digital ID for themselves by becoming a registered user of the Russian messenger MAX. This was announced on October 9 by VK CEO Vladimir Kiriyenko during the Finopolis forum on the federal territory of Sirius.

"Having worked together with Public Services, it became possible to create a digital ID for a driver's license. That is, anyone who has a driver's license can literally create a digital profile within one minute by logging into the MAX application," Kiriyenko said.

He added that the recently launched MAX messenger shows a stable trend towards the development and expansion of the functionality of the most popular services.

The digital ID service should become an analogue of paper documents. On the same day, the VK press service reported that the MAX messenger now has the ability to use a digital ID that allows you to confirm your age and status. Identification is confirmed through a dynamic QR code, which is updated in the messenger profile.
