Russian car brand Solaris has doubled its sales

From January to September 2025, almost 22.7 thousand cars of the Russian Solaris brand were sold in Russia, which is almost twice as much as the result for the same period last year. This was announced on October 9 by the press service of AGR Holding, which launched the brand on the market in February 2024.

The company said that according to the sales results of the first three quarters of the year, Solaris consistently ranks among the top ten brands in terms of car sales in the Russian market. The brand's share for the first nine months was 2.4%. Currently, the brand's dealer network includes 130 centers in 75 cities of the country, including all 16 million-plus cities.

The company recalled that due to the high level of localization in July 2025, the HC crossover, KRX hatchback and KRS sedan were included in the state program of preferential car loans.

In the first six months of 2025, the AGR Automobile Plant in St. Petersburg, which previously produced Hyundai and Kia cars, produced almost 18.3 thousand cars of the Russian brand Solaris.

Earlier, on September 30, Alexey Kalitsev, CEO of AGR Holding, said that the proposed mechanisms for calculating recycling were timely, they would whitewash the Russian automotive market and make it more secure and predictable.

On September 12, it was reported that the Solaris HS sedan (renamed Hyundai Solaris) is no longer available to dealers, which may indicate the completion of production of this model at the AGR Automobile Plant in St. Petersburg.
