Sberbank called Russia a potential driver of the development of the creative economy in BRICS+

Russia, its human capital and technology can be in demand in the development of the creative industry in the BRICS+ countries and become a driver of progress in this area. This was stated at the Created in BRICS+ session, held as part of the RICS International Forum, by Vladislav Kreinin, Senior Vice President, Director of the Marketing and Communications Department at Sberbank.

"Russia, Russian talents, and our technologies can become very much in demand in the development of the BRICS+ creative industries. Our cultural heritage, strong education and technological base allow us not only to develop our own solutions, but also to unite the countries of the alliance around joint growth models," said Kreinin.

During the session, experts discussed how creative industries, artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies can become the foundation of the new economy of the alliance countries. The participants noted that the development of joint projects, educational programs and digital infrastructure, as well as the protection of intellectual property, are key conditions for turning ideas into real products and services.

Today, the creative industries are growing on average 15% faster than other industries. Their contribution to global GDP exceeds 4%, and the total market size is estimated at more than 1.6 trillion dollars. In Russia, the share of creative industries is about 2% of GDP, but by 2030 the figure is planned to increase to 6%. This sector is becoming not only a driver of non-primary exports, but also an important tool for international cooperation in the BRICS+ space.

"We are on the verge of moving from the logic of "Made in" to the logic of "Created in" — to create value and meaning in the first place, and further implement the entire production chain. The BRICS+ countries can become hubs for the development of creative solutions based on breakthrough technologies, and the "Created in BRICS+" sign is a new symbol of quality and innovation," concluded Kreinin.
