The Kaliningrad Avtotor plant expects to produce about 34 thousand cars by the end of 2025. This was announced on October 9 by the company's press service.

"As for plans until the end of 2025, taking into account the current forecast and market fluctuations, under a pessimistic scenario, production will remain at the level of the previous year, while under an optimistic scenario it will increase by 10-12%," TASS quoted the company as saying.

By the end of 2024, the production volume amounted to 30.4 thousand cars, which is three times less than the initially announced plan, the note says. Of these, 29.5 thousand units are passenger cars. The main brands are BAIC, Kaiyi, Jetour and SWM.

The reasons for the decline in production were external factors, including fluctuations in the market, unstable demand and restrictions related to logistics and supply of components.

Earlier, on October 7, it was reported that Kaliningrad Avtotor had patented the design of a Russian electric car, which is being prepared for production under the domestic brand AmberAuto. On October 1, Avtotor presented an updated version of the Ambertruck Work pickup truck, with the upgrade it received the prefix NF in the name. The price of the model starts from 2.5 million rubles.

Prior to that, on September 23, it became known about the start of accepting applications for Eonyx machines produced by Avtotor. The line includes the M2 hatchback, which costs from 840 thousand rubles, and the compact cargo Profi and Cargo (890 thousand and 990 thousand rubles, respectively).
