T-Bank creates accelerator to support schools

T-Bank is testing the launch of an accelerator that will help schools establish and register non-profit organizations. Through their own NGOs, educational institutions will be able to accept donations quickly and transparently. Konstantin Markelov, Vice President, Director of Product and Technology at T-Bank, told about this at the Finopolis forum.

"There are many charities that can be helped using the T-Bank app. But there is still no one very important fund — the fund to support his native school and his beloved teacher. We see a great need for our clients to bring money to their school so that it can be spent on something good, kind and right. I sincerely believe that this project will work. It is clear that everyone is doing good deeds, and that cashbacks can encourage customers to do more, but creating infrastructure is often more important," Markelov said.

Participation in the accelerator provides for an educational block — schools and their graduates will be able to gain basic knowledge about the creation of non-profit organizations, including legal aspects. The program also covers issues of reporting, interaction with partners and donors, and builds practical NGO management skills. Participants will be able to get acquainted with the successful cases of other educational organizations. In addition, expert support will be provided to schools at all stages of their work, from the preparation of documents to registration, which will be accompanied by lawyers and NGO specialists.

About 20 Russian schools are participating in the pilot phase of the project. As a result of working with the accelerator, educational institutions will receive a modern donation collection tool that provides a high level of transparency and access to an audience of over 52 million T-Bank customers, as well as to its media and communication resources. In the future, it is planned to introduce a special widget indicating the school in the T-Bank mobile application.
