Contactless payment via SBP was demonstrated at Finopolis

DOM Bank.The Russian Federation and PSB Bank demonstrated successful payment using the Wave contactless payment technology from NSPK within the framework of the Finopolis forum, held in Sochi from October 8-10. This was reported in the press service of DOM.RF Bank.

The functionality built into the mobile application of DOM Bank.In the Russian Federation, it allowed making a payment via the SBP contactless method using the POS terminal of the PSB bank. The test participants conducted a pilot operation in favor of the charity fund "Zhivi".

This technology allows business customers who use our payment infrastructure to provide a convenient payment method at retail and service enterprises, and also generally contributes to the development of business tools in Russia," said Irina Zimerina, Senior Vice President, Head of the Small and medium-sized Business Unit at PSB.

The Wave technology will allow smartphone users to pay for purchases contactless via the SBP and using Mir cards. According to experts, the possibility of using the Waves service for offline payments is currently being explored.
