On October 9, Alexander Ilyin, an expert at the Meteo forecasting center, a weather forecaster, told Izvestia.
"A lot of rain will fall through the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus, it will affect the Rostov region and will continue to rise north through the Chernozem region to the central region. But having come to the central region, the cyclone will already lose its former youthful power. He won't have much rain left for the central Federal District," the expert explained.
Ilyin added that only 7 to 15 mm of precipitation will fall in two days, and the rains will be light, at times moderate. However, soon after that, the air temperature will begin to decrease. A cold atmospheric front will affect the capital and the Moscow region on Saturday night.
"The next stage of the cold snap will take place. The air temperature in the daytime will drop to +5, +10 degrees," the forecaster said.
In the period from October 14 to October 16, Muscovites should prepare for rain mixed with sleet. Precipitation is expected to fall mainly at night, when the air temperature drops to +1...+4 degrees.
Earlier in the day, forecaster, meteorologist, climatologist Alexander Shuvalov, in an interview with Izvestia, warned that snow could fall in Moscow in the last days of October. In addition, the forecaster added that temperature fluctuations are expected in the coming weeks.
