The President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, who threatens to "blackout" the border regions of Russia, may have an "overdose". This was announced on October 9 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

On October 8, British geopolitical analyst Alexander Mercuris suggested that Zelensky hopes to escalate the conflict through the supply of long-range American Tomahawk missiles. He believes that this completely contradicts the previous rhetoric of the head of the White House.

At the same time, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Moscow was closely monitoring the situation around US plans to supply Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles. In her opinion, if the United States decides to transfer weapons to Kiev, it will not only lead to a "spiral of confrontation," but will also cause irreparable damage to Russian-American relations.
