Russian singer Amiramov died in a hospital in Nalchik.

Soviet and Russian singer Efrem Amiramov died in a hospital in Nalchik. This was announced on October 9 at the Republican clinical hospital.

"Amiramov was in the intensive care unit in serious condition, he had just died," the medical institution told RIA Novosti.

The artist began his musical career in 1987, and three years later released his first magnetic album "The Last Debut". In 1991, his song "Young", written after a quarrel with his wife, became a real hit. The video for the song, which soon appeared on television screens, brought him national fame.

In 2004, the singer was awarded the "Chanson of the Year" award in the "Legend of Chanson" nomination. He was awarded the titles of People's Artist of Ingushetia and Honored Artist of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic.
