During the Finopolis Forum, PSB Bank and the National Payment Card System (NSPK) signed an agreement on the development and scaling of innovative payment technologies, including payment using biometrics. This was reported by the press service of the PSB.

The agreement was signed by Peter Fradkov, Chairman of the PSB, and Dmitry Dubynin, General Director, Chairman of the NSPK.

According to the document, PSB will implement biometrics payment technology in its fleet of POS terminals. When paying at retail outlets and service companies, customer identification will be applied. As noted in the bank, this technology will provide a convenient method of contactless payment and transaction security. It is also possible to use biometric identification when selling products with age restrictions.

"PSB provides the most modern and innovative business solutions and is one of the leaders in introducing new technologies. Today, NSPK and I have signed an agreement that will provide Russian companies with the most convenient, fast and technological payment acceptance methods, as well as simplify the payment processes for goods and services to retail customers," said Peter Fradkov.

"The scaling of interbank bioequaring is directly related to the connection of banks to the NSPK platform. Connecting PSB to the NSPK bioequaring network will expand the payment acceptance network in a new contactless way and make the technology even more accessible to businesses and citizens of our country," Dmitry Dubynin said.
