On October 9, a memorial plaque was unveiled in the Botanical Garden of the Crimean Federal University (KFU) on the building of the Institute of Media Communications, Media Technologies and Design in Simferopol in honor of Izvestia correspondent Alexander Fedorchak, who died in the special military operation zone. The opening took place within the framework of the International Media Forum "Journalism in the period of Freedom". The footage is published by Izvestia.

"From the first day, from the first mass event dedicated to Sasha's memory, we've only been talking about it, because, you know, it gives us some kind of purpose in life. She was lost to us, and we thought forever, but thanks to these events and thanks to your memory, we live, we live it all," said Sergey Fedorchak, the correspondent's father.

According to him, Fedorchak was formed as a personality at KFU and took his first steps into the profession here. In addition, Sergey Fedorchak expressed the hope that the memory of his son will be passed down from generation to generation.

On July 29, a memorial plaque was unveiled in honor of Fedorchak on the territory of the Crimea Television and Radio company. As Vadim Pervykh, director of the broadcasting company, noted, the tragedy will remind young correspondents of the importance of observing safety rules in their work.

Izvestia correspondent Alexander Fedorchak died in the SVR zone on March 24. On the same day, Andrey Panov, the operator of the Zvezda TV channel, and Alexander Sirkeli, the driver of the film crew, died.

On April 17, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree awarding Fedorchak the Order of Courage posthumously. In addition, the award was awarded to the deceased correspondents of Channel One, Anna Prokofieva, and the operator of the Zvezda TV channel, Andrei Panov. The award given to Fedorchak was handed over to his parents on June 17.
