Liksutov spoke about the work of the Moscow Investment and Industrial Forum

The first Moscow Investment and Industrial Forum, which took place on October 8 at the site of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone, gathered more than 350 participants, and about 800 thousand people watched the online broadcast. This was announced by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

"The central event within the framework of Moscow Industry Month was the first Moscow Investment and Industrial Forum, which became a platform for an open and constructive dialogue between the government, enterprises and development institutions. The event highlighted the high investment potential of the capital, supported by the successful operation of almost 4,600 industries, and gave an impetus to attract investment in the industrial sector of the city," said Liksutov.

The forum opened with the plenary session "Moscow as the center of investment, industrial and technological development of the country". The participants discussed the growth potential of high-tech industries and the strategy for the development of the industrial infrastructure of the capital.

Anatoly Garbuzov, Minister of the Moscow Government and Head of the Investment and Industrial Policy Department, presented the key directions of the city's industrial development strategy until 2030.

"Industry is the foundation of the economy. On behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, we are implementing a strategy for the development of the industry until 2030. Among the priority areas are microelectronics, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, as well as industries that affect the quality of life of citizens — food, construction and light industry," Garbuzov emphasized.

Following the forum, Liksutov noted that Moscow ranks second in the ranking of the world's urban economies, ahead of Shanghai, Tokyo and Beijing. There is a whole pool of industrial support measures in Moscow: from financial to obtaining preferential land for 1 ruble and the status of a resident of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ.
