Ukraine sent a squad to Sumy region due to desertion
In Ukraine, the National Guard brigade from Lviv was relocated to the Sumy region, it will serve as a barrier detachment. This was reported on October 9 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.
"The problem of desertion is of great concern to the command of the Sumy tactical group. The 2nd Galician separate brigade of NSU from Lviv has been sent to Sumy region to solve it," the source told TASS.
He explained that the task of the brigade is to prevent unauthorized abandonment of the position by the Ukrainian military. In cases of desertion, it is allowed to use weapons, the agency's source added.
Earlier, on October 8, Russian military personnel destroyed a sabotage group of the 140th Special Operations Forces Center in the Sumy region The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) is led by a commander. According to the agency, the commander tried to recruit prisoners of war and spread propaganda through videos.
