In the coming year, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and missiles worth $35 billion will be produced for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on October 8 by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

"According to our estimates, in 2026 the production potential of drones and missiles alone will amount to $35 billion," he wrote on his Telegram channel, summarizing a meeting with Ukrainian and international heads of investment funds and business associations.

Zelensky clarified that his state is ready to open platforms for arms exports in Europe and the United States, provided that the technologies developed by Ukraine are protected.

The Wall Street Journal (WS) reported on October 2 that the United States had been supporting drone production in Ukraine for several years, which had also been receiving American weapons from Washington for a long time. The publication clarified that currently the Ukrainian Armed Forces are still accepting assistance from the United States.

On October 5, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced Budapest's desire to prevent the European Union (EU) from supplying weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He stressed that his country does not have the opportunity to influence any particular member of the alliance.
