In Russia, telephone fraudsters, posing as employees of a polyclinic, convince pensioners to provide personal data, ostensibly to retake tests. This is evidenced by the materials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which were reviewed by RIA Novosti on October 9.

Fraudsters call pensioners, posing as employees of the clinic, and ask them to provide personal information to "supplement the questionnaire" before retaking the tests. Soon after, the victims receive calls from people who pose as "false siloviki" and accuse them of financing banned organizations. Scammers offer to transfer money to a "secure account" to avoid problems.

According to the agency, the attackers have already managed to deceive an 89-year-old pensioner. She received a visit from an accomplice of the scammers, who brought bags for money. After a while, a man came and took the "parcel" with 80 thousand rubles.
