The calculation of the Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) of the motorized rifle unit of the Center group of forces shot down the Switchblade 600 barrage ammunition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) during the defense of the positions of troops in the Red Army area of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced on October 9 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The calculation successfully protected the ground forces from air attacks, destroying a significant number of enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). During combat duty in the designated cover area, the operators of the complex discovered and eliminated the Switchblade 600 barrage ammunition, which was heading towards the Russian positions. The modern equipment of the complex made it possible to capture the target and launch a rocket at the ammunition, which was located at an altitude of over 200 m.

"As always, we were on duty at night. The enemy marched <...> at heights of 200 m. <...> The target was an attack drone. <...> We hit it successfully, repelled the attack," said Ivan Bezmylov, the head of the calculation.
