Netanyahu to convene Cabinet to approve agreements on the Gaza Strip
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insists on convening the government on Thursday afternoon, October 9, to agree on the first stage of the US plan to resolve the conflict in the Gaza Strip. This was reported on the night of October 9 by The Times of Israel newspaper.
"A great day for Israel. Tomorrow, I will convene the government to approve the agreement and return all our dear hostages home," Netanyahu's office said in a statement.
The Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to US President Donald Trump and his team for their work.
On October 9, Al Jazeera TV channel reported that the Palestinian Hamas movement confirmed the achievement of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza. It was clarified that the agreement provides for the withdrawal of Israel Defense Forces (IDF) troops from Gaza, the arrival of aid, as well as the exchange of hostages for prisoners.
