Ex-UFC fighter Mokhtaryan was shot dead in Australia

Suman Mokhtaryan, a former fighter of the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC), was shot dead in Sydney. This was reported on October 8 by the British newspaper Daily Mail, citing sources.

The police, who arrived at the scene after the call, found Mokhtaryan with gunshot wounds. Despite the medical assistance provided, the man died.

"We believe he may have gone out for a walk, but this has not yet been confirmed," Riverstone Police Area commander Jason Joyce said.

This attack on Mokhtaryan is not the first. In 2024, a gunman disguised as a food deliveryman shot him several times near a gym founded by a fighter.

The former UFC fighter was 33 years old. He has won three fights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. In addition, he and his brother Ashkan Mokhtarian were fighter coaches for the Australian Top Team.
