Three people were killed when a truck collided with a minibus on Sakhalin
In the Sakhalin region, three people were killed as a result of a collision between a truck and a minibus. The regional State Traffic Inspectorate reports this in its Telegram channel.
The accident occurred on Wednesday evening, October 8, on the 55th km of the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk–Kholmsk highway. It was previously established that the 34-year-old driver of the Hino truck lost control. A heavy truck drove into oncoming traffic and crashed into a Toyota Hiace minibus.
As a result of the collision, the 57-year-old minibus driver, as well as his 25-year-old and 38-year-old passengers received various injuries, from which they died on the spot before the ambulance arrived. The driver of Hino was not injured, SakhalinMedia news agency writes.
The circumstances of the fatal accident are being established.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that a Kenworth truck and a Toyota Mark II passenger car collided on the Amur federal highway in the Amur Region. The 25-year-old driver of the car and his 26-year-old passenger died on the spot.
