Bild has learned the identity of the alleged assailant of the German mayor Herdecke
The attack on the newly elected mayor of the German city of Herdecke, Iris Stalzer, could have been committed by her 17-year-old adopted daughter. This was reported by the Bild newspaper on October 8.
"The alleged crime weapon, a kitchen knife and another knife, were found in her (Stalzer's) nursery. — Ed.) adopted son (15 years old). Meanwhile, suspicion of committing a crime is directed at the adopted daughter (17 years old) of the politician," the article says.
The newspaper claims that the police found clothes covered in blood in the mayor's house. Presumably, it belongs to a 17-year-old girl. The police also found traces of blood, which, allegedly, someone tried to eliminate before the arrival of emergency services.
During the interrogation, according to the head of the homicide investigation department, Stalzer pointed to her daughter as a possible suspect. The police continue to work at the scene, and the investigation does not exclude that the crime could have been related to domestic violence between a mother and daughter, a conflict over which occurred last summer, writes Bild.
At the moment, 17-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son Stalzer are in custody, they should be transferred to the juvenile affairs department, the newspaper concludes.
The attack on Mayor Herdecke became known the day before. According to Focus, Stalzer received a total of 13 stab wounds to her stomach and back. At that time, it was alleged that the mayor was attacked by a group of men on the street, and after the incident she managed to crawl to her house, where her children discovered the Stalzer.
