Zakharova commented on Merkel's statements about the sabotage of the EU-Russia talks

On October 8, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova answered a question from Izvestia about the statement by former German Chancellor Angela Merkel about the sabotage of negotiations between the European Union (EU) and the Russian Federation.

According to her, such questions should be addressed to Merkel herself and other Western politicians. Zakharova stressed that many of them prefer to remain silent when they need to act, and they share their revelations only after a while — in interviews and memoirs.
