As a result of the terrorist attack in Moscow, in which Lieutenant General of the Russian Army Igor Kirillov was killed, damage was caused to the owners of 14 cars and 28 apartments worth more than 3.3 million rubles. This was announced on October 8 by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.

"As a result, the servicemen (Kirillov and his assistant Ilya Polikarpov. — Ed.) died on the spot, caused material damage to the owners of 14 cars and 28 apartments worth over 3.3 million rubles," the website says.

It is noted that the terrorist attack in the capital was carried out with the aim of intimidating the population and destabilizing the state authorities of the Russian Federation.

The criminal case was sent to the Second Western District Military Court for consideration on the merits. At the same time, the investigation of the case against some of the accomplices of the incident is ongoing.

Earlier that day, the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia completed an investigation into the terrorist attack in which Kirillov died, and the case was sent to court. The investigation revealed that the crime had been preparing for a long time on the territory of Ukraine. In the fall of 2024, the organizers planned to ship components of an improvised explosive device disguised as household items from Poland to Russia.

Kirillov and his assistant died on the morning of December 17, 2024, as a result of the detonation of an explosive device planted in a scooter at the entrance of an apartment building in Moscow. On September 20, 11 people were recognized as victims in the criminal case of the murder of General Kirillov. In total, five defendants in the case have been identified, among them Akhmadjon Kurbonov, Batukhan Tochiev, Ramazan Padiyev and Robert Safaryan. The last person involved is a citizen of Ukraine, Andrei Gedzik.
