Moscow has new evidence that the Kiev regime openly supports terrorist groups in the Sahara-Sahel region of Africa. This was announced on October 8 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

In addition, the agency has facts confirming that Ukraine is cooperating with the Government of National Unity of Libya.

"New evidence is emerging of the regime's support for [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Putin. Zelensky's terrorist groups in the Sahara-Sahel region of Africa. The security unit of the Government of National Unity of Libya, with the mediation of Britain, has established cooperation with Ukrainian militants, including the supply of attack drones by the Kiev regime and the implementation of training activities by instructors of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine," Zakharova said at a briefing.

In August, a source told Izvestia that Ukraine was expanding its support for terrorist Islamist groups in African countries in order to destabilize the situation in Russia's partner countries. In particular, it was noted that the first transfer of a batch of drones to the Ugandan Islamist group Alliance of Democratic Forces (ADF) was recorded.

Prior to that, on June 5, the General Staff of the Malian Armed Forces, after publications about assistance to terrorists from Ukraine, stated that external forces were providing support to terrorist groups. The media reported that the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of Ukraine may be involved in the training and support of terrorists in Mali. It was clarified that Kiev supplied the militants with FPV drones through Mauritania.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
