The refusal of the Bureau of the French National Assembly to launch an impeachment procedure against President Emmanuel Macron is "monstrous." This was announced on October 8 by the leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot.

"It's monstrous! A proposal to impeach Macron has just been rejected in the National Assembly due to the abstention of five representatives of the RN party (National Unification Party. — Ed.)!" he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The politician noted that the current French president should be "immediately removed from office." Philippot also added that the RN party should be "severely punished for another betrayal of France and the French people."

On the same day, the newspaper Bureau of the French National Assembly rejected the proposal of the left opposition to launch the beginning of the procedure for the impeachment of Macron. According to the newspaper, participants in the meeting of the supreme collegial body of the lower house of the French parliament concluded that there are no grounds for considering a request to remove the head of state from power.

The day before, The Wall Street Journal reported that supporters of President Macron express concern about their leader's policies, as they fear that he will push the "architecture of democracy" to the limit.

On the same day, the leader of the Rebellious France party, Mathilde Pano, proposed to begin preparations for the impeachment of the French leader. According to her, 70% of French citizens support Macron's resignation from the presidency.
