The GAZ (UAZ)-69 SUV, released in 1964, appeared in the museum of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant. The car was handed over by Adil Shirinov, chairman of the Board of Directors of Sollers, the automobile plant's Telegram channel reported on October 8.

The museum SUV is painted dark green and has a tented top. Both the exterior and interior of the car, which is over 60 years old, are in excellent condition.

The GAZ-69 was popularly nicknamed "the goat", among other things, for the peculiarities of the car's spring suspension. The development of the SUV began in 1946, with serial production running from 1953 to 1973. Initially, the model was produced by the Gorky Automobile Plant, later production was completely moved to Ulyanovsk.

The UAZ museum's exposition includes about 30 vehicles, including a ZIS-5B military truck and a Jaguar amphibious vehicle. The order on the organization of the exhibition complex was published on November 2, 1978.

The day before, it was reported that the capacity of the new press production at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant will amount to 20 thousand body kits per year. The production of the press line began at the plant in January of this year, it is one of the largest projects of the enterprise in recent decades.

Earlier, on September 29, it became known that the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant released a batch of gasoline Patriots and Pickups with a new six-speed manual transmission, which will be sent for certification tests. In early September, UAZ began completing a test cycle of the upgraded 150-horsepower 2.7-liter ZMZ Pro gasoline engine.
