The streets of Dushanbe were decorated ahead of Putin's state visit
The streets of Dushanbe have been decorated ahead of Russian President Vladimir Putin's state visit to Tajikistan. The footage is published by Izvestia on October 8.
The footage shows how one of the bridges was decorated with the flags of the Russian Federation and Tajikistan, and images of Putin and his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon were placed on a large banner. Nearby there is another banner with the inscription "The Summit is a new stage in deepening strategic cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia."
Attention is drawn to another banner, also dedicated to the relations between the two countries. It reads as follows: "Tajikistan and Russia are strong friends for the sake of peace and prosperity."
During his visit to Tajikistan, the Russian leader will attend the Central Asia—Russia summit and a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). In addition, Putin will also meet separately with foreign leaders.

Following the meeting, the two heads of state are expected to make a joint statement on deepening relations of strategic partnership and alliance.
