The Butyrsky court of Moscow has detained Gleb Kopylov, a student who demonstrated a tattoo of the Nazi symbol in a public place for 10 days. This was stated on October 8 in the court's decision, which was reviewed by Izvestia.

In June, Kopylov, wearing a T-shirt with a Celtic cross, showed a tattoo with the image of the "Black Sun" on the street, both of these symbols are recognized as neo-Nazi attributes, the text of the court says.

Passers-by called the police, as a result of which an administrative offense report was drawn up against Kopylov.

"Kopylov Gleb Viktorovich should be found guilty of committing an administrative offense under Part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Propaganda or public display of Nazi paraphernalia or confusingly similar paraphernalia")," the resolution says.

Kopylov himself pleaded not guilty in court. According to him, two weeks before the incident, friends, as a joke, while he was sleeping, put an image of a Celtic cross on a T-shirt. Later, the man could not wash the drawing.

He explained the tattoo by saying that he is a pagan and uses it as a talisman. The court considered these arguments to be an attempt to avoid responsibility for what they had done.

Earlier, on August 11, a resident of Yaroslavl was fined for comparing a new school uniform with Hitler's clothes. It is clarified that on July 13, a woman left a comment under a publication with photos of a new school uniform in one of the groups on the VKontakte social network. She was brought to administrative responsibility under the article for propaganda or public display of Nazi paraphernalia or symbols.
