Nabiullina named the share of non-cash payments in Russia
The share of non-cash payments in Russia has reached 87.5%. This was announced on October 8 by the Chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, Elvira Nabiullina.
"It would be appropriate here to recall such an integral indicator of the maturity of the financial market as the share of non—cash payments, which we currently have 87.5%," she said during a speech at the Finopolis 2025 forum.
According to Nabiullina, this is a very high indicator. The head of the Central Bank added that according to this indicator, Russia is among the top 5 countries with "more or less" large economies.
The day before, Izvestia reported that the number of transactions using biometric data since the beginning of 2025 has exceeded 130 million, which is four times more than in the entire period last year. According to the Central Bank, the number of payments reached 100 million in the first half of this year.
