MTS Ecosystem will change its name to Erion

MTS Ecosystem has registered new trademarks and will change its name to Erion by the end of 2025. Rovshan Aliyev, President of MTS Ecosystem, told about this in an interview with Kommersant.

He explained that the new name is a combination of the words Era (new period) and Ion (motion of a charged particle).

"This is definitely a B2B brand, time will tell whether it will become a B2C one. The logic is that the ecosystem will have its own brand," he explained.

Aliev added that each of the verticals except MTS Bank will have its own brand. So, Yrent will return to an independent brand, but as part of Erion, AdTech will also change the brand. The MWS Web Services IT vertical will retain its name.

"There are two aspects here: the first is that each company should be positioned as independent, which means that it will build its brand, its name and reputation. Secondly, we do not deny or seek to separate something from something. MTS, together with telecom and other businesses, is a single group, and they are super interconnected, but they interact with each other on absolutely market terms, which was achieved as a result of the transformation. In other words, rebranding is more about creating a name for each company and making each of them one of the top 3," concluded the president of the company.

The MTS Ecosystem unites the netelecom assets of the MTS Group, which were allocated during the changes in the company that began at the end of 2024. The group unites five areas: IT (MTS Web Services), advertising (Adtech), kicksharing (Yrent), fintech and funtech (Kion online cinema, Kion Film studio, Strings and MTS Music services, a network of concert venues and its own label). Rovshan Aliyev assumed the post of CEO of MTS Ecosystem in early 2025.
