The lawyer told the plan of action when applying for a loan by fraudsters
If fraudsters apply for a loan, the affected citizen should promptly contact law enforcement agencies, as well as write a statement with details about the crime. This was announced on October 8 by Maria Yarmush, a specialist in civil and international law.
"First of all, write down how he found out about this loan: a letter from the bank, a call from the bank, received an SMS. You need to collect this information and contact the police at your place of residence. Write a statement that the scammers have issued a loan, it became known from such and such a source and he asks to open a criminal case against an unidentified circle of people on the fact of fraud," she said in an interview with RT.
According to Yarmush, you should also contact your bank's security service to document the fraud. At the same time, if funds remain in the client's account, it is necessary to ask the financial institution to block them and not charge any interest on this loan.
The lawyer stressed that the victim should not repay such a loan from his own funds, as in court this could be regarded as an admission of debt. In addition, the court must provide all evidence of non-involvement in the fraudulent scheme, adds "Газета.Ru ".
The day before, it was reported that fraudsters began offering Russians debt relief under an allegedly new government program in order to steal their personal data and money. As part of the scheme, the attackers demanded that the victims provide personal data, SNILS and bank details that can be used for illegal actions or loans in the name of citizens.
