The delivery of Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine may take several months, and even after receiving them, Kiev may face restrictions from the United States on their use. This was reported on September 7 by The Telegraph newspaper.

"The delivery of American Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine may take months, and they may never leave their launchers," the article says.

In addition, the publication noted that the statement by the American leader Donald Trump about the possible transfer of missiles to Kiev was made in an "opaque manner." It is specified that Washington may also supply Tomahawks to Ukraine without permission to use them for strikes against the Russian Federation.

A day earlier, Trump announced that he had actually made a decision on the supply of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, but did not explain what it was. The US president clarified that he would like to know the purpose of using missiles and that he would not like to see an escalation in the Ukrainian conflict.

On October 3, American columnist Ted Snyder drew attention to the fact that the United States would most likely not be able to supply Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles, or would do so in limited quantities. He clarified that currently the United States itself has a small number of missiles, while producing less than 200 units per year.
