New Year's holidays in Russia in 2025 will set a record for the longest
In 2025, the New Year holidays in Russia will last 12 days, which will be a record for many years. This was announced by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov.
"This year's New Year's Weekend is really going to be the longest in many years. It seems to me that there was no rest in winter for longer than 12 days," the minister said in an interview with TASS.
He also added that in recent years, the authorities have traditionally tried to make December 31 a day off, using the postponement of days off. In addition, the minister explained that due to the coincidence of January 3 and 4 with the weekend, these dates will be offset by the postponement to January 9, 2025 and December 31, 2026.
