- The Ukrainian Armed Forces left Chernihiv without air defense after hitting the Goncharovsky training ground
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are experiencing a shortage of air defense calculations in the Chernihiv region, which forces the administration to recruit mobile groups, which also include women. This was reported on October 7 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.
"After the recent blackout in Chernihiv and the strike on the Goncharovsky training ground, it turned out that the sky of the Chernihiv region is a courtyard. Where all the air defense units have gone is a separate question, but the fact remains that there is no one to cover Chernigov," TASS quoted a statement from a representative of the security forces.
It clarifies that both men and women between the ages of 18 and 60 are invited to join mobile groups. According to the representative, the air defense calculations were formed earlier, but the officials "reported on them and forgot." After the situation worsened, the personnel of such groups were transferred to the infantry, and there was no one to replace them.
On the same day, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the Russian military had attacked the energy and transport infrastructure and fuel storage facilities in the area of the special military operation (SVO). Also, as the ministry added, the units of the Russian Armed Forces eliminated the temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 148 districts.
