In Lipetsk, 50 people were evacuated due to the discovered wreckage of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). This was announced on the night of October 8 by the head of the city Roman Chentsov.
"Wreckage of an unmanned aerial vehicle was found on Budyonny Street. <...> 50 people were evacuated from their homes. Everything is safe now," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
The mayor added that he is currently at the scene of the incident. According to him, all the evacuees received assistance: some of them were placed in temporary accommodation facilities, and some chose to go to their relatives.
Chentsov stressed that all services in the city are working smoothly, and also urged residents to trust information coming only from official sources.
The Governor of the Lipetsk region, Igor Artamonov, announced the discovery of explosive UAV debris in Lipetsk the night before. He clarified that explosives experts and representatives of emergency services had started working at their location.
