Coaches Isakov and Razin came into conflict after the Torpedo – Metallurg match
After the meeting of the Torpedo and Metallurg hockey clubs that ended in Nizhny Novgorod on October 7, the coaches of the teams Alexey Isakov and Andrey Razin, respectively, entered into a verbal altercation that almost ended in a fight.
Razin, wanting to express his indignation at the opponent's actions during the post-match flash interview, overtook the coach of the losing team with a score of 5:1 of the club in the podium. There was a very fierce conflict between them.
"You have to be able to lose. This should be a lesson for some people. <...> I won't comment on the rest. <...> Everything was within the limits of conversational tone. But it's elevated," the Sport-Express quotes Razin as saying.
The coach added that the game itself was calm and everything was under control during the match.
On the same day, HC Metallurg won 5-1 over HC Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) regular season match. Daniil Vovchenko (2nd minute) and Nikita Korotkov (9th minute), Egor Yakovlev (14th minute), defenseman Valery Orekhov (23rd minute) and forward Derek Barak (55th minute) scored goals for the winning team. Striker Mikhail Abramov provided the only goal for the losers in the 11th minute.
