In the Kamchatka Territory, the timing of the closure of navigation for small vessels has been determined. This is reported by the KamchatkaMedia news agency with reference to the regional government.

Starting from October 18, access to the water will be prohibited in the Olyutorsky, Penzhinsky and Karaginsky districts. From November 1, navigation will be completed in Vilyuchinsk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Yelizovsky, Bystrinsky, Sobolevsky, Milkovsky, Ust-Bolsheretsky, Tigilsky, Ust-Kamchatsky districts.

The government explained that the timing of the completion of navigation is due to the beginning of ice formation in reservoirs. In addition, the wind load increases and there is a risk of icing of the hull.
