The Russian side is taking the necessary measures to ensure its interests against the background of Europe's confiscation of frozen assets of the Russian Federation. This was announced on October 7 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"Against this background, Russia is taking those measures that it considers necessary to ensure its interests. <...> We have repeatedly said this, it will protect its interests," Peskov said at a briefing.
