The European Union (EU) and Brussels are hostages of the "frenzied policies" of Warsaw and the Baltic states on foreign policy issues. This was announced on October 7 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov during a briefing.

"It is obvious here that on many foreign policy issues, unfortunately, the European Union and Brussels are in a hostage position from the rabid policies pursued by the Baltic states and Warsaw. This is true, it is visible to the naked eye, as they say," he said.
