Lower prices for new cars were recorded in Russia

In the third quarter of 2025, the average price of a new car in Russia decreased by 3% compared to January –March and amounted to 2.83 million rubles. This was reported to Izvestia on October 7 by Avito Auto experts, who studied the data array from the platform.

The most noticeable changes were noted for the following models: Haval M6 (-7.8%), Omoda C5 (-7.2%), Chery Tiggo 4 (-6.7%), as well as Haval Jolion (-4.9%) and H3 (-4.9%). According to the results of July – September, the most popular cars among users were Solaris, Moskvich, Lada, Jetour and JAC brands.

Among the models, the SWM G05 Pro, Solaris KRS, Solaris HC, Moskvich 3 and Lada Vesta were in the highest demand. The demand for Belgee (doubled), Solaris (+57.2%), Jetour (+54.5%), GAC (+50.8%) and Chery (+50.6%) cars increased the most, and among specific models — for Xcite X-Cross 7 (3.5 times), Solaris HC (3.2 times), Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max (2.5 times), Belgee X50 (2.1 times) and Changan CS75 Plus (twice).

Experts noted that the prerequisites for a smooth increase in demand were a moderate reduction in the key rate, as well as discounts and special offers from dealers who sell off the accumulated remnants of last year. It is expected that in the last quarter of this year, the trend towards a gradual improvement in the market situation will continue due to the pent-up demand that formed in previous months.

A decrease in prices for used cars was recorded in Russia

Prior to that, on October 2, it was reported that the average price for popular used cars in the third quarter of 2025 was 5.1% lower than in the first quarter, and amounted to 750 thousand rubles.
