During the day, Russian air defense systems shot down 416 aircraft-type drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the special operation zone. This was announced on October 7 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"Air defense systems shot down three guided aerial bombs, 16 US—made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 416 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said in a statement.
