A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The southern group of troops liberated the village of Fedorovka in the DPR. In addition, the Armed Forces of Russia, as a result of active and decisive actions, liberated the settlement of Novovasilevskoye in the Zaporizhia region.

"The units of the Center group of forces have improved their position along the front line. They defeated the manpower and equipment of a heavy mechanized, four mechanized, assault, jaeger, two amphibious assault brigades, two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a marine brigade in the areas of settlements of the Donetsk People's Republic and the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to more than 415 servicemen," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, defeated the energy and transport infrastructure, fuel storage facilities that support the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 148 regions.

In turn, air defense systems shot down three guided aerial bombs, 16 HIMARS multiple rocket launchers made in the USA and 416 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 667 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 88,945 UAVs, 631 anti-aircraft missile systems, 25,394 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,597 multiple launch rocket launchers, 30,241 field artillery and mortars, 43,382 special vehicles.
