The administration of US President Donald Trump is concerned that Washington will not be able to control the use of long-range Tomahawk missiles by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on October 7 by the Axios portal.

"In recent weeks, representatives of the Trump administration have expressed concern about whether the United States will be able to control the use of missiles by Ukraine after they are bought and paid for by NATO countries," the text of the article says.

At the same time, the interlocutors of the publication noted that they did not know what decision the head of state had made to send the appropriate type of weapons to Ukraine.

Earlier, on October 6, Trump announced that he had actually made a decision on the supply of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, but did not explain what it was. In addition, the US president clarified that he would like to know the purpose of using missiles. Trump also added that he would not like to see an escalation in the Ukrainian conflict.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, speaking on September 29 about Tomahawk supplies to Kiev, urged not to consider missiles a panacea for the Ukrainian army. He believes that weapons will not be able to change the course of a special military operation for the Ukrainian side.
