UAZ told the details about the new press production

The capacity of the new press production at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant will be 20 thousand body kits per year. This is reported in the story of the Reporter 73 TV channel, which was posted on October 7 by the UAZ Segodnya corporate Telegram channel.

The production of the press line began at the plant in January of this year, it is one of the largest projects of the enterprise in recent decades. The installation of the units is currently underway. The line will be serviced by only one operator, which was achieved due to the high automation of the processes.

A new production facility for the manufacture of safety systems — airbags, electronic components, belts and steering wheels - is also being prepared for launch. These components will be installed on their own cars and supplied to other automakers. More than 80 jobs will be created at the plant for the residents of the region.

Investments in production modernization, including through the Industrial Development Fund (EDF), have exceeded 5 billion rubles over the past three years.

Earlier, on September 29, it became known that the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant released a batch of gasoline Patriots and Pickups with a new six-speed manual transmission, which will be sent for certification tests. In early September, UAZ began completing a test cycle of the upgraded 150-horsepower 2.7-liter ZMZ Pro gasoline engine.
