Co-owner of FC Torpedo Sobolev pleaded guilty in the case of bribery of arbitrators
Leonid Sobolev, co-owner of the Torpedo Moscow football club, has pleaded guilty to attempted bribery of football referees. This was reported on October 7 in the materials of his case.
"The accused Sobolev actively assists the investigation in the investigation of crimes, gives confessions," TASS cites the case materials.
Earlier, on October 2, Sobolev was released from jail. It is specified that at the end of September, the court changed the measure of restraint for the defendant.
Sobolev's detention became known on June 20. On the same day, it was reported that a criminal case had been opened against him, as well as the director of Torpedo, Valery Skorodumov, who, according to preliminary data, tried to bribe the judge. It was noted that the defendants allegedly offered the chief referee over 1 million rubles for winning the match, awarding penalties to opponents or removing their player. On June 24, Sobolev's defense appealed his arrest.
