Moscow courts will consider 26 claims of Soyuzmultfilm for copyright protection

The courts of the city of Moscow will consider 26 claims of the Soyuzmultfilm film studio for copyright protection. This was reported on September 7 by RIA Novosti with reference to court documents.

It is reported that lawsuits were filed in Simonovsky, Tagansky, Butyrsky and other courts of the capital. The reason was the illegal commercial use of the film studio's cartoon characters.

The studio plans to present more than ten projects in the next three years.

On September 26, the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction in Moscow announced that Soyuzmultfilm had filed a lawsuit over the copyright to the image of crocodile Gena. The film studio has filed lawsuits against Gusev S.N. and Shatashvili M. R., with court hearings scheduled for October 2 and 9, 2025 in the district courts of the capital.
